THE MOST LAID BACK COUPLE EVER - And a wildly perfect day in the countryside. A woodland ceremony, a tipi wedding breakfast, a couple of Alpacas, wild flowers, campfires and pizza... what more could you ask for?
When I initially first spoke to Lucy & Zac, they informed that they were laid back, which to be fair, most people claim to be. But after we spoke for a little while, it became clear that these would in fact be the most relaxed wedding couple I would ever photograph. They had had pretty much zero input into organising their wedding day, they'd left it all to their mums to sort out, the only thing they said they had done, was to pick me as their wedding photographer.
That being said, the Mums did an amazing job. It was an absolute stunner of a wedding day though, located on the Suffolk/Essex border in Bures, Coppins Farm is a beautiful wild farm that only hosts a handful of weddings each year to support it's environmental work. The ceremony was held in a woodland area with a calm stream running through it, and provided lovely shelter from the midday sun. Following that, the guests were invited up to the drinks reception where ales and ciders were served from an old travellers trailer. Drinks in full flow and an amazing vibe from everyone involved, the wedding breakfast was served in the tipi.
Following the wedding breakfast a rather special and unique surprise was in store for the couple, and me (no one had mentioned the surprise to us until about 5 minutres prior), as two alpacas were brought through the wild farm and presented to Lucy & Zac. Elated with their late arrival guests, we took the guys for a little stroll, and turns out you should never work with children, dogs AND alpacas!
The evening was rounded off with a little sunset stroll, a pizza truck (which absolutely slapped) some cosy fire pits and a packed out dancefloor which went long in to the night.
LUCY - Billy literally cannot thank you enough for the photos... we're literally amazed, such incredible work. I am so glad my only influence was booking the photographer
